Tiles are slabbed and cut to shape. Various tools are
used to impress lines and shapes into the surface creating a spontaneous graphic design. Detailed painting with Terra sigilatta sets off the individual elements of the design. After the first firing,a black copper wash is applied to entire surface. When dried the copper wash is wiped off leaving the copper only in the
recessed areas. Earthenware clay.
