carved, terra sigilatta is painted on at the
greenware stage, bisque fired, glaze is
applied to entire surface and wiped off.

This new work has designs and shapes pressed into
the surface. Detailed painting with terra sigilatta sets
off these elements. Black copper wash is brushed
on and wiped off to set off the color.
Earthenware clay.
