All of my work is hand-carved, and features surfaces with deeply cut relief. Color is applied to the surfaces using a durable medium called terra sigillata (a refined clay slip). For pieces that will be installed in kitchens
or bathrooms (behind stoves or sinks) I also apply a waterproof sealer to prevent stains and discoloration.
